The 11 Best Songs by the Eagles

We've been waiting for this moment for years. Almost ten years to be exact. That's right, today marks the return of one of the biggest names in the biz....Jerry frickin' Seinfeld. Sadly, it's not another season of Seinfeld, which supposedly has been discussed...hmmm...how cool would that be? He's going to be starring in a kids' film called The Bee Movie. If you haven't seen promotion for this film...well, either you live in a cave or...you're dead. My daughter is 2 and she's says "Bee Movie" at least 20 times a day. Whether the movie is good or not, the marketing campaign has done its job.

Also returning to showbiz this week...the Eagles.

Buy their new album, Long Road Out of Eden at Walmart or at their website.

Good to see "Doolin-Dalton/Desperado (reprise)" make the cut. It's a wonderful example of storytelling and it showcases their ability to maintain a theme through different arrangements.

I would place "New Kid In Town" in the top eleven as well. The moment in the third verse where the previously light and cheery guitars turn dark and ominous always gets me.

Good list. Three songs I'd add - the Randy Meisner sung, "Try and Love Again", "Pretty Maids All In a Row". and "Hollywood Waltz".
