Well, here it is...the annual epic 111 best albums of 2009...as voted on by you. Usually it's a close race...but this year, Animal Collective ran away with it. The Phantom Band's Checkmate Savage probably deserved a place in your top 111. I came across it late last year and it turned out to be one of my favourite releases of the year.
