The 11 Best Songs By Martin L. Gore

The first weekend of March Madness is over.  For an avid fan like myself, this consumed my week.  That would explain the lack of updates because Sunday night is the first moment I have to breathe in the week.  There are many things to talk about that happened this week, in all things madness, but the one that still sticks out the most, is the play-in games.  There is nothing more completely unnecessary than these ridiculous play-in games that are more of a nuisance than an enhancement.  Nobody cares who is playing in them.  Nobody (outside of the teams playing) cares who wins.  They only thing anyone does care about is how quickly the games can be over so we know how to fill out our brackets.  These games are a perfect example of how sometimes people at the top misunderstand what the fans actually want.  Just because we want our teams to make the tournament...doesn't mean the tournament should widen its boundaries to include everybody.  If you do that...it makes the tournament less special...and people care less about making it in the first place.  Sometimes, just because we wish for it...doesn't mean we actually want it.  The fantasy is always better than the reality.

Here are the 11 Best Songs By Martin L. Gore:

this is stupid. martin didn't write any of those songs.

if you're not gonna write about stuff you know about, you shouldn't write anything at all.

I appreciate your comment. I believe you are confused. Nowhere did I say these songs were written by Martin. In fact I spent most of my article writing about college basketball. I'm sorry that I assumed that most readers of my blog by now would understand what I do...since I have been doing it for five years. Then when they commented...they would know what they were talking about. Obviously not everyone is aware.

I guess I should be more specific for the readers "who don't know about the stuff they're commenting about" to make it easier for them to understand.

Would this be a better title: The 11 Best Solo Songs That Have Been Performed Martin L. Gore For a Release on An Album, Single, EP, Compilations or Soundtrack, Not Including Any of the Material That He Performed With Depeche Mode or Live?

I prefer the shorter version...but I can see how that can be confusing for the small-brained.

how about "11 Best Cover Songs by Martin L. Gore"

though I think you'd be better off linking to Depeche Mode songs since he actually wrote those.

VCMG is written by him, not cover songs.

Um...why are you stuck on the songwriting thing? I've never said these songs were written him...only performed.

If you want Depeche Mode...then here are the Depeche Mode posts.

FINE!!

why didn't you say anything about Martin in the post?

just seemed like a cookie cutter thing.

your picks are actually pretty good now that i look at them. nice that you included 'Tower of Song'.

his Dylan cover "In My Time of Dying" is pretty awesome I think though.
