This week, theworld has been going Beach House crazy. Okay, just the music world. Well, really just the music blogger world. I've seen the new album called this year's Merriweather Post Pavilion. That's a pretty bold statement. Even Merriweather was running a distance 2nd to Bruce Springsteen's Working On A Dream this time last year. But the power of an album is really its staying power. It's draw to want to listen to it over and over after the novelty has worn off. We've yet to see how this new Beach House will hold on despite is rabid start. On the other hand, I've also read that the new Beach House is this year's Cracked Rear View. Not really sure I understand that one. Any thoughts?

wow, "even Merriweather Post Pavilion was running a distant 2nd to Bruce Springsteen's Working On A Dream" this time last year" is crazy talk, my man, I don't know that it even received better than 3/5 stars, it was just decent, and it's only recognition came from the fact that it was a) a Bruce Springsteen album b) "The Wrestler"... Pitchfork gave it a 5.8, while MPP received 5/5 across the board and a 9.6 from Pitchfork...
At the time it was. Sure Pitchfork saw the light...but Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Guardian and others were slobbering over the Bruce record, while giving MPP good but not great reviews. Bruce was also playing the Superbowl so he was being given the royal treatment.
