The 11 Best Albums of 2008 (so far)


This will be my last post for awhile. I'm on the verge of having my second kid, so I'm planning to take a brief hiatus but shall return for the new Beck...with a sleigh of goodies.

It's mid-terms and let's see how the year is unfolding so far...these are my faves...what are yours?

I would posit that you haven't heard Jukebox the Ghost. easily one of the best of the year.

hah, its weird to see someone post about jukebox the ghost, those kids used to live down the street from me when i lived in philly. they came to our yard sale and we never saw'em again. i would have to say that my favorite album of this year is archers of loaf "vs the greatest of all time"... oh.. of THIS year.. hm. nana grizol "love it love it" (orange twin) check it. they are an amazing band whom i had the pleasure of playing w/ twice.

How bout Cut Copy's Ghost Colours? Even if you disagree, if you haven't heard it, I suggest you change that...quick!

In my Top 3 I have Nick Cave, Foals and The Duke Spirit. The Top 30 can be seen here
I haven't heard the new Hold Steady record yet, but if it is as good as the last one, it could easily top my list too.
